Senior Controls Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Engineer – Colocation to be responsible for technical leadership and/or development of customer ordered solutions. Responsibilities include implementation, testing and startup of technical solutions created by yourself or others.  To be successful, you must be an effective collaborator with customers and other associates to deliver the best solution and be willing and able to take direction from project management leaders. This position will require frequent updates to management and customers for work status updates.

You Will:

• Design and implementation of integrated electrical and control systems
• Work cooperatively with engineering, design, production, and field service staff
• Responsible for aspects of project budget and schedule requirements
• Develop overall system architecture for industrial control projects
• Specify and configure various hardware components such as, instrumentation, PLCs, communication systems and industrial control panels
• Perform functional testing of electrical and control systems
• Design and configure PLC/SCADA networks
• Generate test procedures and forms
• Coordinate start-up activities within GGS, any contractors and owner personnel

You Have:

• BS Engineering degree or equivalent educational background
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation / controls integration industry
• Ability to develop PLC and HMI programs within one or more languages (A-B, Siemens, etc.)
• Strong AOI and UDT development experience
• Strong Field Experience including reading panel designs and troubleshooting field wiring signals
• Experience with process controls instrumentation
• Solve software and data communication problems, including network switches and radios
• Lead field start-up testing of electrical and programmed control systems, including loop checks, drive setup, installation inspection, operational readiness testing, and functional acceptance testing

You May Have:

• 5+ years’ experience with Logix Designer v21
• Experience in industrial controls for building management systems, power distribution, central plant control, water / wastewater, discrete manufacturing or similar
• Kepserver OPC, Wonderware (Archestra and/or AVEVA)
