Congratulations to Our Recently Promoted Team Members

Congratulations to some of our recently promoted team members: Christina Jumalon, Eric Zhang, Samantha Nadeau, Zac Beyer, Andreas Lang, Sahil Mehta, Ken Her, and Umar Karim for recent, well-deserved promotions.

Christina Jumalon – Automation Engineer II

Christina has had an incredible year of growth, supporting a fast-paced startup where she took an active role in PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting, documentation, and Phase testing in close coordination with client process engineers. She’s also helped with documentation and testing for various projects throughout the year.

Eric Zhang – Automation Engineer II

Eric has developed his skills as an embedded engineer. Eric has also shown his hard work and ability to learn quickly while being on call and asked to troubleshoot and debug the live system when needed. He is asked to juggle multiple projects and priorities while maintaining his stellar quality of work. He has also helped us to expand our client role by helping to work with manufacturing, infrastructure, and other groups as needed. Eric has become a trusted resource to the PLC team and has expanded his documentation, coding, testing, and debugging skills.

Samantha Nadeau – Automation Engineer III

Sam is a very talented engineer who is technically capable, motivated, and committed to the quality of work she delivers. Sam has developed and maintained strong working relationships with engineers in the LSE unit as well as here on the west coast, where she is an active contributor to our company culture and social atmosphere. Sam juggled being a part of projects with the LSE and LSW teams.

Zac Beyer – Lead Automation Engineer I

Zac has seen an incredible variety of platforms and technologies in the past year. From specifying and procuring intrinsically safe hardware to quickly ramping up to support an OSI Pi project to programming Siemens PLCs using Structured Text; Zac has had a hand in projects all over Northern and Southern California in the past year and has built strong many relationships along the way with colleagues and clients.

Andreas Lang – Lead Automation Engineer I

Andreas started in June 2022.  In the short time he has been with E Tech, he supported many start-up and SAT activities onsite.  He also supported many proposal development efforts, delivering high-quality work in both project work and proposal work.  He has impressed each customer he worked with.  He completed both Ignition Core certification and Rockwell SI Control Capability and SI Visualization Capability certificate.

Sahil Mehta – Lead Automation Engineer II

Sahil has been a rock steady engineer who has anchored many a project over the years. His technical know-how is far reaching, and his confidence and never-give-up mentality have always allowed him to play crucial roles in major(or complicated) projects. While Sahil was working on all those projects, he also supported multiple intern mentorships! Sahil has shown he can manage project work and interface directly with clients, sometimes serving as a one-stop shop in client-faced automation support.

Ken Her – Lead Automation Engineer III

Ken spent many hours on the road and in hotels last year while leading our team’s engagement with a client in the San Diego area on a support contract spanning nearly every process area in their new plant expansion. Ken was able to expand his already impressive technical knowledge, and quickly became indispensable to the client – due to high turnover on their engineering team, he found himself the most senior Automation Engineer on site at one point.

Umar Karim – Sr. Automation Engineer II

Umar is a rising engineer, having achieved two quick promotions in the short span of 1.5 years with E Tech. He received the E Tech 2023 “Always Growing” award and was also nominated in the “Rockstar Rookie” and “Team Player” categories. Umar worked towards getting his PE license during the past year, passing the test in October 2022. At the same time, Umar became an expert on the latest Rockwell Automation PlantPAx version 5.0 platform. He also helped this project to be the second PlantPAx 5.0 system to be audited by Rockwell and one of the first projects to implement the ACM tool during development. Umar consistently demonstrates his work ethic and commitment, as he is known for working long days and weekends without thinking twice. Umar also collaborated on multiple proposals and supported other administrative and internal initiatives during the past year.

Thank you all for your dedication and hard work to E Tech Group and our clients.
